Women in Bloom

WIB

Women in Bloom (WIB) is the sister organization to BWUN. Women in Bloom, a 501(c)(3) organization was founded in 2009 to benefit women with their personal and professional development. It is based in Valparaiso, Indiana. Women in Bloom applied for and was granted 501(c)(3) status in 2011. The mission of WIB is to, “measurably enhance underprivileged and underserved women in the business and military sectors by supporting them via financial resources, professional expertise, and community support.”

At every Alliance meeting, the Joy Basket is passed and donations are collected to support our scholarship program at Indiana Wesleyan University and Ivy Tech Community College. BWUN has held suit drives, sent packages to female veterans, hosted education programs, engaged in joint volunteer efforts with similar organizations, and held fundraisers to support the mission of WIB. WIB recently partnered with the Crown Point High School in Crown Point, Indiana, to support our “Young Careerists” progam by engaging in mentorship/development programs and joint volunteer projects with the girl’s volleyball and soccer teams.
